Cabaret actor Fritz Wepper has died aged 82, his spouse has confirmed.
The German star was greatest recognized internationally for enjoying aspiring gigolo Fritz Wendel& within the 1972 Oscar-winning film reverse Liza Minnelli and Michael York.
He also performed the character Harry Klein in more than 280 episodes of the cult long-running German crime collection Derrick between 1974 and 1998.
Wepper died on Monday morning in a Munich hospice where he had been handled for round a month after an extended illness.
His spouse Susanne Kellermann& stated he died peacefully in a press release to German newspaper Bild.
In the five weeks leading up to his dying, Wepper had been receiving palliative care.
Born in 1945 in Munich, Wepper started his appearing profession at the age of 11 in a production of Peter Pan.
One among his first main roles was in& Tischlein deck dich, a film adaption of the& Brothers Grimm& fairytale& The Wishing Desk.&

The couple broke up 30 years later when Wepper left Angela for Susanne in 2009. Wepper and Susanne married in 2020.
The couple have one daughter together named Filippa.
