"I obtained up and I literally fell into the wall. … I fell into the wall and sobbed as a result of it was a lie. Every little thing I used to be saying was a freaking lie. It was me making an attempt to convince myself of something and I feel that did no service to anyone. … I didn't like my boobies!"
The actress was extremely constructive in her GMA sit-down as she discussed her double mastectomy and subsequent breast reconstruction. "I'm going to have one of the best boobs in the nursing house," she quipped on the time.

Virtually 16 years later, Applegate stated she still doesn't like the best way her breasts look post-cancer. "It's horrible," she said on Shepard's podcast. "I don't have nipples. That's not something I speak about. I don't have nipples. It's bizarre. I can put on a tank prime and no headlights."
In addition to her double mastectomy, Applegate took one other preventative measure by having her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed in 2017. "My cousin passed away from ovarian most cancers in 2008. I might forestall that," she advised Today.com that October. "That's how I've taken control of every little thing."
While Applegate has not been re-diagnosed with most cancers, she has been battling a number of sclerosis since 2021.
