The Nevada dealership Planet Nissan agreed on the settlement, per Top Class Actions.

But the company has not admitted any wrongdoing.

The agreement was linked to a data breach that allegedly happened in 2022.

Details belonging to around 1,000 people were allegedly compromised in a suspected cyberattack.

Americans impacted by fraud can claim up to $4,750 as part of the terms of the settlement.

But they must prove they took appropriate steps to reimburse their losses.

Drivers have until July 1 to take the action, according to the settlement.

Americans can also claim up to $500 for losses such as credit expenses or travel costs.

It means some might be able to pocket up to $5,250.

Drivers don't just have to show their bank statements as proof of purchase.

Invoices, police reports, and credit reports are also acceptable.

Americans have until July 1 to file for a claim.

Planet Nissan has not revealed how much the total settlement pot is worth.

Drivers have been warned not to file a claim if they have not been impacted by the cyberattack.

They could be putting other claimants at risk.

Americans who are unsure they qualify for a payment should read the terms of the settlement before submitting their claim.

A final approval hearing has been slated to take place on July 17.

Meanwhile, The U.S. Sun reported payments of up to $3,500 are up for grabs over a suspected data breach involving the company ACTS Retirement Services.

Americans can also apply for payments from an $85 million settlement involving pharmaceutical companies.

The energy company Talen Energy Corp has agreed on a settlement that could see claimants scoop payments of up to $4,000.
