Hip-hop icon Fat Joe now has a new accolade to add to his legacy. On Thursday, May 30, the "All the Way Up" rap star, 53, received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from Lehman College, recognizing "his ongoing commitment to uplifting the Bronx community and his profound impact on hip-hop culture," according to the school. The New York native, born Joseph Cartagena, attended the school's 56th annual commencement ceremony as a special guest and delivered an impassioned speech to the graduating class of 2024 about his career rise and how it led to his latest honor.
