The highly anticipated Deadpool & Wolverine soared to box office records with $205 million in receipts. The Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman – who were hailed as the ultimate duo – vehicle is the eighth biggest opening of all time and the biggest opening for an R-rated film by far. The first two spots on that list are held by the previous installments in the franchise. The third installment in the Deadpool series also shattered worldwide box office records with $233.
