The highly anticipated sequel, hailed by Metro as an 'absolutely stunning film' in our four-star review, stormed to an impressive $386.3million (304m) haul worldwide over its opening weekend despite scoring just 65% on Rotten Tomatoes. At $221m in the US, the film has smashed the highest five-day opening of all time in the United States, beating the previous record of $204.
