Neither Zoe Saldana or Emilia Perez composers mentioned under-fire Karla Sofia Gascon in their victory speeches at the 2025 Critics' Choice Awards. Emilia Perez star Gascon, 52, was plunged into controversy last month after her past offensive tweets surfaced, and the film's director Jacques Audiard and reportedly Netflix as well have both publicly distanced themselves from the transgender actress. The divide continued Friday night at the Critics' Choice Awards, where Gascon was mentioned not once by Saldana, Camille, and Clément Ducol, 43, in their victory speeches.
