Champion boxer, 18, killed in horror crash - as tributes pour in for 'a fantastic young man with a champions heart'
Leo Mountain, an 18-year-old champion boxer, has tragically died after being involved in a fatal crash. Mountain, who became North West regional boxing champion in September 2024, was hit by a HGV on the A683 Bay Gateway in Morecambe at around 3am on Sunday morning. Emergency services rushed to the scene in an attempt to help Mountain, but he was devastatingly pronounced dead. The youngster had been receiving rave reviews in the boxing world for his progress over recent times before his tragic passing.
