In his junior year at Harvard, the American poet TS Eliot took boxing lessons. It did not take him long to decide the sport was not for him. 'I was too slow a mover to be a boxer,' Eliot reflected. 'It was much easier to be a poet.' Given his boxing pedigree, it was never likely Chris Eubank Jr would reach a similar conclusion. Yet, as the son of a former two-division world champion, it is fair to say the 35-year-old could probably have been anything he wanted to be.
