ITV have strongly backed Ian Wright in a statement which raises major questions over Eni Aluko's future with the broadcaster. The television network has called Wright 'beyond question' and an 'an incredible advocate, ally and brilliant broadcaster of women's football' in a statement to The Guardian. It comes amid the public fallout between Wright and Aluko, who initially accused him of 'blocking' opportunities for women in football. Aluko apologised for that after a strong public reaction but Wright has refused to accept it.
