She took over the Democratic nomination for president when Biden dropped out after a faltering debate performance that raised questions about his age and mental acuity. A Biden spokesperson announced May 18 that the former president has an "aggressive form" of prostate cancer that has spread to the bone. "The President and his family are reviewing treatment options with his physicians," the statement added.
