The K-pop veteran, 36, will embark on his first tour in North America and Europe since 2017, beginning on Aug. 22 in Newark, New Jersey. The world tour follows the February release of his third studio album — and first musical release in eight years —Übermensch. "I'm excited to return to tour in the U.S. and Europe after eight years," G-DRAGON, whose real name is Kwon Ji-yong, tells PEOPLE exclusively. "This tour is not just a performance — it's a canvas where every sound, look and moment is part of a larger expression of who I am now." Per a release obtained by PEOPLE, the G-DRAGON 2025 World Tour will feature "never-before-heard music, custom stage visuals, and exclusive merchandise." GALAXY CORPORATION Recently, the idol gave a glimpse into what his American shows will look like with a headlining performance to 36,000 spectators at the Head in the Clouds Festival in Los Angeles. His world tour kicked off in March with concerts in Seoul before heading to Japan, the Philippines and China. Before heading to the States, he will also perform shows in Australia, Southeast Asia, Taipei and Hong Kong. G-DRAGON, who debuted as an idol at age 18, rose to prominence as part of the five-member boy group BIGBANG. Under YG Entertainment, the same label as girl groups 2NE1 andBLACKPINK, BIGBANG played a major role in popularizing K-pop in the West with songs like "Fantastic Baby" and "Bang Bang Bang." Over nearly two decades in the industry, G-DRAGON has collaborated with stars likeMissy Elliott, Skrillex andDiplo. After his exclusive contract with YG ended in 2023, the "Home Sweet Home" rapper left the company to sign with Galaxy Corporation. Under his new management, he releasedÜbermenschin 2025, and the album debuted at No. 1 in South Korea, Japan and China.
