WhileUntamedis set in Yosemite National Park in California, much of the filming for the Netflix thriller took place in British Columbia, Canada. Yosemite has served as a filming location for numerous projects, includingIndiana Jones and the Temple of Doom(1994) andStar Trek V: The Final Frontier(1989), but forUntamed, the production opted to use Canadian locations as a stand-in for the California park. Filming locations reportedlyincludedChip Kerr Park, Mount Seymour, Murdo Frazier Park, and the Sea to Sky Gondola inSquamish. In addition, production took place at Vancouver's North Shore Studios. In August 2024,Untamedfilmed in Port Moody in British Columbia, with local paperTri-Cities Dispatchreporting, "Hollywood was visiting Port Moody last week, with actor Eric Bana on the set of a new Netflix production around Chip Kerr Park. A dozen semi-trailers, a boom lift, catering truck, and a large film crew with set designers, production assistants, camera operators, actors and directors took over a portion of Henry Street, Hope Street and William Street." Actress Lily Santiago, who plays Naya Vasquez in the series, shared behind-the-scenes snaps from filming in Vancouver on her Instagram ahead of the premeire. "We're on location a lot for this project," Santiagosaidin a recent interview. "All the locations I've been able to film forUntamedare just stunningly beautiful. For episode one or two, the director, Tom Bezucha, said he wanted the characters to take it all in and acknowledge the beauty. We both agreed that it shouldn't be too hard."
