Just when I thought May was a busy month for theBritish royal family, June came our way—and with it came a slew of major events and appearances forKate Middleton,Prince Williamand co. King Charles met with surprise Hollywood A-listers,Queen Camilla turned headsin a $2.5 million brooch andMeghan Markle made a huge career-related announcement. But Princess Catherine, 43, and her husband, Prince William, 43, had a jam-packed schedule for the royal books. Fortunately, if you couldn't keep track of it all, each month, the Prince and Princess of Wales share a royal rewind on theirjoint Instagram account. I'm talking birthdays, striking videosand eye-popping outfits. Here, highlights from Kate and Will's Instagram Stories featuring the Kensington Palace June Royal Rewind. Instagram / princeandprincessofwales As always, the first image was an intro slide announcing Kensington Palace's June Rewind. This was quickly followed by a slide featuring a super striking photo of the Prince of Wales in military fatigues. It was captioned, "Starting the month visiting the Army Air Corps." The slide referencedhis notable June 4th visit. Instagram / princeandprincessofwales Several slides later we got a look at Trooping the Colour, undoubtedly the biggest event for the family this month. Trooping the Colour is the annual military parade marking the official birthday of the British sovereign—and the royal family members always turn out in style. Princess Catherine caught my eyegiven her choice to wear a new coat dress by Catherine Walker—called the 'Bria'—in a bright electric blue hue. Many followers noted Princess Charlotte twinned with her mom at the event, but it wasCharlotte's jewelry that really turned heads. Kensington Palace also released a slideshow at the time, where Prince William can be seen donning his full uniform andwalking in slow-motion. Instagram / princeandprincessofwales Oh, and aBTS glimpse from the outingshowed the Wales Fam in a pic that felt more intimate somehow—and decidedly less staged. As PureWow's Senior Director of Special Projects and Royals,Rachel Bowie, noted at the time, "Don't get me wrong: There's posing involved, but the lighting is natural and there's no use of portrait mode. Instead, it feels like a shot snapped by someone passing by. It's giving the very relatable, 'Everyone is dressed up and we just need one shot where everyone is looking at the camera at the same time.' I say this knowing that of course on a day like Trooping the Colour, the Waleses haveloadsof professional photographers on hand to snap their pic. But this feels like a grabbed moment and an attempt to capture the day on their own terms." Then, of course, there was theiconic balcony moment. King Charles, Prince William andKate Middleton(not to mention, Queen Camilla,Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis) all stood in key positions—a reflection of the future of the monarchy—as they waved to the massive crowds below. Though it didn't get its own slide, following Trooping,Garter Daytook place at Windsor Castle (it's more formally known as the Order of the Garter service). For the occasion, fourroyals including Princess Catherine made thesame exact jewelry choice. And in terms of fashion, what did Princess Catherine and Duchess Sophie show up in? Effortlessly chic, monochromatic looks—and the timeless trend has never looked better. Andas if the Princess of Wales didn't get enough attention, she also wowed fans byswitching up her hair. Father's Day brought us the never-before-seen images above of Prince William and his three kids (andPrincess Charlotte's face said it all). Celebrity and commercial photographerJosh Shinnercaptured the sweet portraits. In the first pic, Prince William has his arms around Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who is in turn hugging her younger sibling, Prince Louis. The trio stands under a cherry blossom tree in coordinating sweaters and button downs. "Happy Father's Day, Papa (before & after!)," the photos were captioned at the time. "We love you! G, C & L." Instagram / princeandprincessofwales Perhaps my favorite post from the Waleses this month (which was also included in the Royal Rewind) was a birthday tribute to Prince William. The social media post included a bit of news (aka the debut of three of four new Cocker Spaniel puppies—all being cuddled by William—who their beloved dog,Orla, gave birth to last month, perThe Sun). The caption to the birthday pic read, "Happy birthday! Love C, G, C, L, Orla and the puppies!" A paw print emoji was included at the end. The Prince of Wales also previously stepped out in London on June 26 to attend the "Investing for Impact" event at The Guildhall, which brings togetherEarthshot Prizesuccess stories, sustainability leaders and potential investors focused on environmental solutions. I noted of the outing, "He appears to be having the best time—genuine smiles a lot. Plus, he has a lot of open body language, indicating he's quite comfortable." Video and images from the event show Prince William positively glowing. And he also looked to be in his element as he delivered a heartfelt speech to attendees. Instagram / princeandprincessofwales Things wrapped up, as per usual, with a "thank you" slide. Here's hoping the Wales Fam gets some rest before what I'm sure will be an equally busy July!
