But only now is the comedian on the road to fulfilling one of his more personal desires: becoming a dad. He and his girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt, are expecting their first child, sherevealed July 16on social media. "Everybody's just been superexcited for me, because they know it's been my dream," Davidson toldE! Newson Tuesday. "I'm very lucky and very, very happy." Davidson said he's delighted about "being able to take care of something and show it the childhood I didn't have. I assume you just try to give them what you didn't have, and what you didn't like, not do it." "[I'm] definitely a family guy," Davidson toldKevin Hartin a July 2022 episode of talk showHart to Heart. "My favorite thing ever, which I have yet to achieve, I wanna have a kid," Davidson said. Davidson had previously expressed disenchantment with his celebrity lifestyle and being known for his romantic entanglements. He said he had become "oversaturated" in a December 2024 interview withW Magazine. Now I'm older and wiser, and I'm realizing that less is more," he said. "I just want to be known for doing good work," Davidson continued. "I want to be out there only when it's a movie, stand-up, charity, or business ventures. That's when I want to be seen. I don't want to be this f---ing loser who just dates people. That's not who I am." Davidson had previously been in high-profile relationships with such stars asEmily Ratajkowski,Ariana Grande,Kate Beckinsale, andKim Kardashian.
