Benny Blancois catching heat for his latest TikTok video, which one viewer called "tone-deaf" in light of the current state of the economy. In the clip, the musician, who is engaged toSelena Gomez, showed off a pack of (presumably) gourmet blueberries that are several times the size of your average, everyday blueberry. While the unique presentation of the fruit certainly captured viewers' attention, with one commenter comparing it to the way you might find luxury chocolates packaged, most others felt that it was neither the time nor the place to flaunt his free, $200 treat. He opened up the box, which was part of a PR package, to show that "they come, like, individually packed," calling the presentation "insane." "Look at this blueberry," he continued, picking one up and rotating it between his thumb and index finger before taking a bite. Inside looked a bit different than your typical grocery option, resembling the color of a grape's innards more than a blueberry, but it was clear it was delicious as he groaned, "Oh, my God," and finished it off in a second bite. "That's like a meal," he joked, wondering if the "scale" of the fruit really came across on the video. "They're huge!" he emphasized,  taking a bite of a second one. "And delicious." "I think the box is like $200," he added. "That's crazy." It felt a little too dystopian for some of his followers, though. "Watching from district 13," one quipped, referencing theHunger Gamesseries, where the majority of the country lives in poverty while watching residents of the Capitol indulge in extravagant fashion and food trends. "This is the only response," another agreed. "Life is absurd sometimes." "Sir we're not rich enough to relate to this 😭," was the general consensus, with some admitting, "Meantime I can't afford regular fruit 😭." "This is rich rich and we're all poor poor," someone else said. The music producer did have his defenders, too, with one commenter suggesting, "Everyone hating on him because he's rich and can afford $200 blueberries….go be as talented as him. He earned his success and money." "who cares how much people decide to spend on their own stuff 🙄," someone else pondered. As others pointed out, Blanco doesn't appear to have put any money of his own into the package anyway, but that was equally frustrating for some. "What's it like to be rich and still get free things being poor is so tiring," one vented, while another agreed, "Why do the rich get all the PR packages and stuff… 😢😢😢 also most people endorsing things are getting to be so tone deaf…. We are out here can't pay for groceries anymore…." It's not the first time Blanco has drawn division among fans. Earlier this year, when hisInterviewmagazine cover hit the net, fans demanded a "trigger warning"after an unexpected pair of perfectly pedicured feet were pressed against his face in one snap from the photoshoot, with one dubbing it "a jump scare."
