It might be hard to believe for someone who has been famous for more than 50 years, but tonight marks Stevie Nicks’s first Met Gala appearance—ever. For the big night celebrating the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s newCostume Artexhibit, the Fleetwood Mac songstress was outfitted in a one-of-a-kind look from Zara created exclusively by John Galliano.
Channeling thetheme for the night, “Fashion is Art,” Nicks wore a dramatic silk taffeta gown with a petticoat-like silhouette in a midnight blue hue. It featured an overlaid skirt with embroidery and appliqué roses made of chiffon. She layered the dress with a silk taffeta and velvet jacket, and topped off the look with a feathered top hat, which was made in collaboration with milliner Stephen Jones.

Nicks wore her signature blonde tresses in curls. Her makeup was mostly natural with a bit of a smoky eye.
Zara and Galliano also dressed Inditex chairwoman Marta Ortega Perez for the evening. She also wore blue, outfitted in a bias-cut silk dress, a matching cape, and Manolo Blahnik shoes. Both custom looks were created for the 2026 Met Gala specifically and are separate fromGalliano’s upcoming collection for Zara, which is debuting later this year.
Galliano himself is also set to attend and will wear a bespoke black tuxedo from Anderson & Sheppard of Saville Row.
