DWTS Fans Have Strong Feelings About Who Alix Earle Should — And Should Not — Be Paired With For Season 34New Foto - DWTS Fans Have Strong Feelings About Who Alix Earle Should — And Should Not — Be Paired With For Season 34

On Thursday, May 22,Dancing With the Starsannounced its second celebrity for its upcoming 34th season.Robert Irwinwas the first celeb to be announced, back in late April, and now social media influencer and podcast hostAlix Earlehas been added to the mix. Fanswere pretty dividedas to how they feel about Earle being a cast member, but they also had very strong feelings about which male pro dancers she should (and should not) be partnered with. On Instagram, the officialDancing With the Starsaccount posted several photos and videos of Earle from herGood Morning Americainterview. The comments were full of opinions about who she should dance with. RELATED: DWTS Pro Demands ABC 'Bring Back a Spring Season' Pasha Pashkovwas a popular choice. He has been onDancing With the Starsfor six seasons and hasn't gotten a win yet; the best he has ever finished was in season 32 withAriana Madixwhen they took third place. "YES GIVE HER PASHA ITS PASHAS SEASON," wrote one fan, and another added, "Be with Pasha!!!" But even more fans think Earle should be paired with new proEzra Sosa, who kind of got the short end of the stick in season 33 with his partnerAnna Delvey. "IF SHE ISNT WITH EZRA I DONT WANT IT," wrote one fan. Another added, "Omg imagine her with @ezra.sosa 🤩🤩🤩🤩." "Ahhh, I hope she is paired with Ezra!" wrote a third fan, and a fourth added, "Alix and Ezra would be a fabulous pair!!!" Sosa and Pashkov were definitely the most frequent choices, though we did see a few fans hoping forVal ChmerkovskiyorBrandon Armstrong. 🪩SIGN UP for our Dancing with the Stars newsletter to get access to exclusive news, interviews, songs, recaps & more🪩 Regardless of who she is with, many fans were all expressing the same idea about which pro she should NOT be partnered with —Gleb Savchenko. "Pls don't let Gleb be her partner," wrote one fan, to which another fan replied, "I was thinking the same thing," and a third chimed in with, "Came to say the same 😂 he can't keep it professional." A fourth fan added, "Literally came here to say I bet that's who they put her with😂." On a different post, one fan wrote, "Keep her away from Gleb," and someone else wrote, "Pls don't put her with Gleb." On yet a third post, one fan wrote, "You better not put her with Gleb," to which another replied, "@emzipperer why so he can date her too?", and a third wrote, "99.9% sure they will." Another commenter on the same post wrote, "Please don't partner her with Gleb," to which somebody replied, "@carolinaabou why did this make me laugh lol," and a third simply put, "😂😂😂." For those who may not know, Savchenko, 41, has a bit of a reputation as a ladies' man. The only partner hehas publicly datedis his season 33 partnerBrooks Nader, but there was a lot of chatter about him and his season 23 partnerJana Kramer, with sourcestelling Us Weeklythat they hooked up during their season, something that Kramer alluded to in her 2020 memoir. Dancing With the Starsreturns for its 34th season in the fall of 2025 on ABC and Hulu. If the pattern holds, it will premiere the third week of September. Jesse Tyler Ferguson details the forgotten roots of "Modern Family"'s mockumentary style: 'We never explained why'

Eric McCandless via Getty Just Shoot Me!andShrinkingstarWendie Malickmade a recent appearance onJesse Tyler Ferguson's podcastDinner's on Meto talk about her lengthy career and eat a tuna melt. The pair have known each other for a while, with Ferguson guesting onHot in Clevelandand Malick appearing onModern Family. Reflecting on the 11 seasons of Pritchett family adventures, Ferguson let listeners in on a forgotten fact about the celebrated series that won 22 Primetime Emmys during its run. "[The reason] it was a mockumentary, although we never explained this, was a very early version ofModern Familyhad a foreign exchange student that had stayed with Mitchell, my character, and [Julie Bowen's] Claire when we were young," he explained. "And he was coming back to do a documentary about this family he lived with when he was a kid, and the title of it wasMy American Family." Frazer Harrison/Getty Ferguson continued, "They ended up cutting that character and then renaming itModern Family. But the construct of it still being a mockumentary was there, but we never explained why." He added that "in the very early seasons, we would really try and hold onto the reality that we were with a film crew," which has us itching to fire up Peacock and do a close compare and contrast of early episodes to later ones. Malick, probably echoing what all of us would say if we parachuted in for a season 11 guest shot like she did, said, "I don't even remember thinking about that." Sign up forEntertainment Weekly's free daily newsletterto get breaking TV news, exclusive first looks, recaps, reviews, interviews with your favorite stars, and more. Ferguson noted, "If you watch early episodes, it's like, 'Oh, it actually is feasible that this is a reality show.' And then season five, six is just, like, we're opening our doors coming home from getting groceries and there's a camera crew in our house, and no one questions that." By the timeModern Familylaunched in 2009,The Officehad been using the mockumentary style for four years, so most viewers were already attuned to the situational grammar, if we may use an egghead term. The Office, of course, was not the first to play in this comedy sandbox. Neither was the British version ofThe Office, which launched in 2001, though that was among the first television series to run with it. Sketch comedy shows, particularlyMonty Python's Flying Circus, haddeployedthegimmickseveraltimes. ABC On film, some great examples of the technique includeThis Is Spinal Tap, Rob Reiner's classic parody of rock & roll culture from 1984, which is actually getting a long-awaited sequel later this year.Christopher Guest,Tap's lead guitarist and backing vocalist Nigel Tufnel, picked up the schtick with several other movies in the style, most famouslyWaiting for GuffmanandBest in Show. ButSpinal Tapwas also far from the first. Back in 1969,Woody Allendirected and starred inTake the Money and Run, a parody of a crime exposé. More relevant toModern Familythough is surelyAlbert Brooks'Real Life, a 1979 comedy that was a spin on what a "making of" documentary about a modern family would look like. It was released six years after the debut of the very real PBS documentaryAn American Family, in which a crew was embedded with theLoudfamily of Santa Barbara, Calif. — an early example of what we'd now call reality TV. This trailer forReal Lifedoes a terrible job of selling what the movie is, but it's pretty indicative of Brooks' style of humor. Anyhow, you can play the full episode ofDinner's on Mewith guest Wendie Malick right here. Read the original article onEntertainment Weekly
