THE search for the body of missing toddler Quinton Simon in a Georgia landfill has been paused ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, authorities have announced. Officials will continue the search for the 20-month-old, who has been missing since October 5, next week, according to the Chatham County Police Department.

This pause coincides with Waste Management's schedule for the week, which has been adjusted for Thanksgiving, the department added. The police statement follows what has been a desperate search for Quinton that has seen search teams digging through thousands of tons of garbage for any sign of the missing toddler.
