Simon Cowell has had to give up hope of creating a new boyband to repeat his global success with One Direction – as Britain has not got enough talent. A reality TV series, called The Midas Touch, which was following his search for future stars will now instead focus on Cowell as his pop dream falls apart. Britain's Got Talent judge Cowell, 64, has been staging a series of auditions for 16 to 18-year-olds in Liverpool, Dublin and London.
