The Jewelry Group, Inc. WhenLainey Wilsonstepped foot into stardom, all she really "signed up" for was to make music and sing. But, her success as a country artist and actress (you may have seen her on the hit seriesYellowstone), led her down unexpected roads, which is how she landed a gig as designer for her very own line of jewelry. The "Heart Like a Truck" singer's new venture is backed by The Jewelry Group, Inc. and features statement-making pieces with a hint of Western charm, a sprinkle of Wilson's songs and style, and, she tells PEOPLE, "a little bit of Duck" — who fans may also know as her fiancé,Devlin Hodges. The former NFL player proposed to Wilson in February with a ring inside a cowboy hat-shaped box, soon featuring in Wilson's brand. The Jewelry Group, Inc. Wilson, 33, and the team at The Jewelry Group, Inc. first met up in January, and over the next several months created what is now a starting collection of charm necklaces, earrings, rings, boot bracelets, hat brim bling and collar tips. Products range from $15-$65 in price. "I'm a sucker for anything that sparkles, anything that shines, and I love the Western way of life. I love blending those things together, and I feel like I kind of do that with my music anyway. Specifically, with a song called 'Bell Bottoms Up.' You can almost hear the glitter and the glam." Designing an accessories collection wasn't a completely different experience from sitting down and writing a song, explains Wilson, whose goal with any project is to craft "a little bit of everything for everybody." The Jewelry Group, Inc. "It's the mindset that I go into whenever I'm writing a record. I want to make sure that I'm not just writing music for one particular kind of woman. I want to make sure that I'm saying something that everybody can kind of latch onto and connect to and somehow we have managed to do that with this jewelry collection." Fran Lukas, CEO of The Jewelry Group, Inc. shared in a statement: "As The Jewelry Group, Inc. continues to develop key partnerships in the entertainment arena, we are incredibly excited for the opportunity to work alongside Lainey, bring her vision to life and build on the power of her brand." When it comes to fashion, Wilson is a woman who knows what she likes. There isn't a red carpet that doesn't see her commanding the spotlight in a pair of her signature bell-bottoms and her favorite fedora. But in designing her own line, she discovered something new about her fashion sense: She's open to experimenting. "What I've learned from trying things is sometimes you love what you never expected [to wear]. I mean, I'm loving the greens. My birthstone is green, I was born in May, so I'm definitely here lately gravitating towards a lot of that emerald vibe." The Jewelry Group, Inc. She's most excited to wear her new jewelry on stage as she continues herWhirlwind World Tourin Phoenix on Aug. 14. "I've already got my eye on specific pieces where I'm like, man, this is going to look good when we're playing New Mexico, or I'm thinking about Madison Square Garden. Of course, I love the big statement, gold pieces. If I could wear it all at once, I would, but that wouldn't make much sense." https://people-app.onelink.me/HNIa/kz7l4cuf But really, putting the final touches on a look is a "game-time decision." "It's kind of whatever I'm feeling. It's however I do my hair and my makeup that night, because I do my own on the road. Same thing goes for jewelry. Whether I wear a little less, wear a little more, whether I'm mixing stones, mixing metals, all of those things, it depends on what mood I'm in." Frank Hoensch/Redferns As rewarding as it's been to launch her brand, Wilson says the collection will really come to life when she sees her fans rocking out at her concert wearing her jewelry. "It's going to be cool to be able to be on stage wearing these pieces and to look out into the crowd and see my fans wearing the same ones," she says. "I'll tell you, they're good people who have hearts of gold," she adds of her fanbase. "So I want them to just walk in confidence and know who they are and stick to the truth. The truth is that they are just awesome people, so I'm excited to celebrate this with them."
