The "Keep Holding On" songstress has been mixing things up on the sold-out trek across North America, alternating between covers and throwbacks of her own during a brief acoustic set. Most recently, she played "one of [her] favorite bands"The Chicks' "Wide Open Spaces," and fans think it's high time for another genre shift for the artist who already has seven albums under her belt spanning pop, punk and rock. A fan namedAshleyuploaded a video of Lavigne's "breathtaking" cover to TikTokfollowing the show, including the introduction where Lavigne, 40, revealed that she once covered the same song while performing during one of her high school assemblies. "We need a country album from her," someone else crossed their fingers, with another looking for easter eggs in the performance: "I honestly think she is hinting at it. I so hope so!"
