In the first film, editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly, played byMeryl Streep, berated Andy for wearing the sweater without the knowledge of the history behind the item. Despite the clip only being six seconds long, it quickly garnered thousands of likes and comments from fans and movie buffs. "It's not just blue, it's not turquoise, it's not lapis. It's actually cerulean," one person wrote, referring to Hathaway's sweater. "SHE'S WEARING THAT CERULEAN BLUE!!!!" another commented. In the original movie, Andy is seen chuckling to herself during an editorial fashion meeting as theRunwaymagazine staff await Priestly's reaction to an outfit.
