One of the men who helped broker the Rangers takeover talks believes the club should embrace the chance to make a fresh start in the summer. Andy Mason, a Scottish property and finance expert based in Dubai, was a key figure in making the initial introduction to prospective American investors. The club are locked in talks with the investment arm of the San Francisco 49ers, with the US consortium seeking to gain 51 per cent of shares and a controlling stake at Ibrox.
