51 Things We Need to Talk About Right Now After the "And Just Like That…" Series Finale

Craig Blankenhorn/HBO Max Warning: This story contains spoilers from the series finale ofAnd Just Like That... And Just Like That...aired its series finale on Thursday, Aug. 14 After watching the episode, we have a few — okay, 51 — things we need to talk about right now regarding the end of thisSex and the Cityinstallment Let us know what you think in the comments below It's a big moment forSex and the Cityfans. The revival seriesAnd Just Like That…aired its series finale last night and fans had to bid farewell (again) to mainstays Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte York Goldenblatt (Kristin Davis). It's been a roller-coaster ride for viewers of this series, as the showcomes to an end amid widespread criticism. Somepeople are relieved, othersaren't as happy, but everyone can agree, there's a lot to say about the way this installment of theSex and the Cityuniverse came to a close. We're breaking down the final episode, titled "Party for One," and sharing how the main gals, plus Seema Patel (Sarita Choudhury), Lisa Todd Wexley (Nicole Ari Parker) and Anthony Marentino (Mario Cantone) closed this chapter. Craig Blankenhorn/HBO Max https://people-app.onelink.me/HNIa/kz7l4cuf Here are 51 things we need to talk about right now after theAnd Just Like That…series finale: 1. The concept of Carrie's experience in the Asian restaurant — ordering from an iPad, being served by a robot waiter and being forced to sit across from a giant tomato plush — is comedy enough, but they really hit us over the head with the fact of her being alone. 2. Carrie seems to be confused about how to use an iPad, but as an iPhone user, there's no way she doesn't know how they work. 3. Honestly, what's so bad about sitting across from a cute tomato plush? I wouldn't mind. Craig Blankenhorn/HBO Max 4. This snippet we see of LTW's docuseries is the first time it hasn't looked like a fancy PowerPoint presentation to me. 5. I am genuinely happy to have learned about Ann Lowe, the Black designer who created Jackie Kennedy's wedding dress. Maybe that's because I'm not a fashionista, but it's still a super cool fact. 6. GettingMichelle Obamato narrate her docuseries has been the obvious solution in my head all season, so my yelling at the screen has finally been heard. 7. After so many name-drops this season, I'm a little miffed that Michelle didn't pop up for even a super-brief cameo. She has herown podcast to promote, after all! 8. LTW's insistence that she can't get dinner or drinks with Marian (Mehcad Brooks) seems like an out-of-date trope perpetuating the idea that men and women can't just be friends. Can't they just be professional outside of the edit bay, too? 9. Also, is this the first we've heard of Marian being married? Perhaps I missed it, but I just thought he was some hunky single man LTW had a crush on. If he's married, why does LTW just assume he's ready to cross the line with her? 10. Marian treated the situation appropriately and maturely, despite LTW's weirdness throughout the season. 11. I got sad when Steve Brady (David Eigenberg) said he wasn't going to Thanksgiving dinner. I just want all my characters to be together. Craig Blankenhorn/HBO Max 12. Miranda tells Steve she's been putting condoms in Brady Hobbes' (Niall Cunningham) Christmas stocking since he was 14, which is kinda weird. 13. Even weirder, Steve recalls how she once put a condom on a banana to show Brady how to use them, to which she says, "What a waste of a banana." Umm, how? Did she take the peel off before putting it on? Because if not, the banana would be safe inside the peel. 14. I agree with Miranda, it was gross for Steve to ask if Mia (Ella Stiller) was pretty. First of all, why does that matter? Secondly, that's your son's friend with benefits who is carrying your grandchild. 15. I'd like to take this moment to nominate Adam's (Logan Marshall-Green) nude scene for an Emmy. I don't care what Emmy, I just really think it deserves one. 16. How long have Seema and Adam been together, because it feels impossible that they're at the pee-in-front-of-each-other stage already. 17. Adam's feelings on marriage are pretty strong, but Seema has always felt like a modern woman, making it surprising that she got so upset. 18. I love a good walk-and-talk moment, but Charlotte, LTW, Carrie and Seema all look like they're dressed for very different events on their way to the bridal fashion show. Craig Blankenhorn/HBO Max 19. Speaking of that fashion show, the setting is pretty, but the ladies barely even enjoy looking at the wedding dresses on display. This whole scene is just a setup to get them talking in pairs. 20. If I were sitting near any of these four women, I would have asked them to be quiet during the runway show. 21. Oh, good, Adam finished the garden — only for Carrie to then ask him to totally redo it and give her something more "wild and free." 22. Totally random thought, but where did Charlotte's vertigo go? 23. The loudness to which Harry Goldenblatt (Evan Handler) exclaims that he is aroused was wild considering Lily (Cathy Ang) is in the next room. TMI, dad! 24. I have never felt more seen than Jackie Hoffman declaring, "I'm so f---ing exhausted." Give her an Emmy, you cowards! 25. Carrie's pie-delivery circuit is fun, but it makes me wish everyone were together for the finale. Craig Blankenhorn/HBO Max 26. Carrie declares mashed potatoes as her favorite food, which is something we have in common. 27. Carrie advises Miranda not to overreact when Joy (Dolly Wells) texts her that her dog was sick and Miranda jumps to conclusions before talking to Joy about it. That's rich coming from someone who got upset at her partner over an emoji reaction to an ugly table earlier this season. 28. Epcot (Spike Einbinder) explaining their name (calling their parents "Disney freaks") was funny the first time, but it happened again and again and again… 29. Silvio (Paulo Hernandez-Farella) immediately being rude to Brady when he arrived rubbed me the wrong way. He said "eww" regarding him being a redhead and also called him "strawberry shortcake." I would have kicked him out of the apartment. 30. The second Mark Kasabian (Victor Garber) showed up, I just knew it wasn't going to be a good thing. Why would Charlotte try to set Carrie up with someone so soon? Craig Blankenhorn/HBO Max 31. As a dog owner, seeing Joy crying about her dog almost made me tear up. 32. Joy's reasoning that she hates children because her dog ate a LEGO at the park is kind of wild. 33. My one chuckle of the episode happened when Charlotte asked who the people were with Mia, to which Carrie responded, "Her backup singers." Ha! 34. Charlotte said that Carrie should date Mark just because he has a plane. Would she date someone just for that reason? She barely got on a plane to visit her out-of-state boyfriend... she's not going many places. 35. Do the writers want us to hate Silvio? Him dancing around the living room and being snarky with Miranda made him even more annoying. 36. Mia said she once had a puppy, but that someone left the door open and it ran away. Is it just me or is anyone else really worrying about that unborn baby? 37. Just when I was starting to warm up to Mia, she was so mean to Brady after he went around the city looking for her cucumbers, brown rice and seaweed when she said it was all she ate. She told him it's not her problem he was running around trying to find those things after she said it's all she ate. Brady, you're too good for her. 38. I desperately need to know why Mia's mom blocked her on Facebook. 39. At their ages, how do Carrie and Mark not know that you should check the turkey's internal temperature before taking it out of the oven? 40. I cannot believe that we are ending this show with a toilet overflowing with actual poop after Epcot kept using the bathroom. 41. The one good thing about it is that it makes Mark leave, though. 42. Raise your hand if you also screamed when Miranda hugged Joy while she was wearing the gloves she was just cleaning a toilet with. I sure did. Craig Blankenhorn/HBO Max 43. I know this episode is just another day for the characters, but for us it's a big deal. I hate how Carrie just quietly leaves Miranda's apartment without saying goodbye. 44. Carrie plays "You're The First, The Last, My Everything" by Barry White on the karaoke machine, but we hear singing. Aren't karaoke machines only supposed to have the song without singing? 45. I counted on the screen, and Carrie's karaoke machine only has 46 songs on it. That seems like a crazily low number of songs. We finally see Shoe, the true star ofAnd Just Like That… 47. It's funny that Giuseppe (Sebastiano Pigazzi) throws a pie in Anthony's face, but I could only think about how yummy that chocolate cream pie would have tasted. 48. Herbert Wexley (Christopher Jackson) offering to clean up after Thanksgiving dinner is literally the bare minimum, but you'd think he really saved the day with how LTW reacts. 49. Carrie finally finished her novel — and the thoughts I have about her new epilogue require their own article. 50. Okay, so Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall)didn't return. That I can live with. But we didn't even get a scene of Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte together this episode. Craig Blankenhorn/HBO Max 51. I'm going to soak up that last scene of Carrie strutting down the hallway in that tutu. I need a nice image to remember this show by. Legendary Rocker, 77, Finally Spills the Tea on Rock's Most Famous Urban Legend - You Won't Believe Who Else Was Thereoriginally appeared onParade. After decades of wild rumors and exaggerated tales,Alice Cooperjust set the record straight on rock 'n' roll's most enduring myth. The truth about the infamous "chicken incident" is even more incredible than the legend itself. The 77-year-old shock rock pioneer finally revealed what really happened at Toronto's Peace Festival in 1969. The revelation came complete with A-list witnesses who saw it all unfold. Speaking with veteran journalistDan Ratheron AXS TV'sThe Big Interview, the Detroit native shared the full story behind the moment that would define his career. This single incident created one of music's most persistent urban legends. The revelation came with a shocking detail that fans never knew:John Lennon,Yoko OnoandThe Doorswere all there watching it happen. Cooper explained how his then-unknown band scored the incredible opportunity to perform between John Lennon and The Doors at the massive 80,000-person festival. The strategic placement wasn't by chance. Cooper's manager negotiated to put the band in prime time, sandwiched between two of rock's biggest acts. The chicken incident itself was completely accidental, according to Cooper's account. During their signature finale featuring feather pillows and CO2 cartridges creating a blizzard effect, a chicken mysteriously appeared on stage. Cooper's assumption that the bird could fly led to the fateful decision to toss it into the crowd. What happened next became the stuff of legend — but not in the way Cooper expected. The chicken didn't soar gracefully over the audience. Instead, it plummeted directly into the crowd at what was ironically called the "Peace Festival." The audience's reaction was swift and brutal, creating a scene that horrified even the shock rock performer. Related: Beloved 'Devil Wears Prada' Star Just Revealed Her Most Awkward Meryl Streep Fan Girl Encounter - It Involved Late Night's Most Iconic Host The next day's headlines screamed about Cooper killing a chicken on stage. This spawned decades of rumors that he had bitten the head off the bird. Cooper firmly denied these embellishments, explaining that none of the more extreme versions of the story actually happened. 🎬SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox🎬 What makes this revelation particularly fascinating is imagining how John Lennon, Yoko Ono and The Doors reacted to witnessing this career-defining moment. These legendary artists were there as Cooper's unintentional act created one of rock's most enduring myths. The story perfectly captures the chaotic energy of late-1960s rock culture. It shows how a simple mistake could become a legend that follows an artist for more than five decades. 'Love is Blind' star Stacy Snyder reveals payout from class-action lawsuitNew Foto - 'Love is Blind' star Stacy Snyder reveals payout from class-action lawsuit

Stacy Snyder, one of the "Love is Blind" cast members who took legal action against the show, has shared how much she made off of the multi-million dollar class action lawsuit. Snyder was on Season 5 of the popular Netflix dating show, where she made it down the aisle with contestant Izzy Zapata, before calling the engagement off at the altar. Originally, the pair said they planned to stay together and work on things, but they ended up breaking up about a week after the season aired. Snyder joined in on what became a class-action lawsuitagainst the show's production company, Kinetic Content, after it was originally filed by Season 2 contestant Jeremey Hartwell in July 2022, alleging that cast members were forced to work long hours in poor conditions with no pay. In December 2024,Netflix chose to settlefor $1.4 million to be divided amongst all parties, more than a third of which was designated for attorneys' fees. Here is what to know about the lawsuit and how much Snyder received from the settlement. The complaint obtained by USA TODAY accuses Kineticof enforcing "unsafe and inhumane working conditions," exerting "excessive control" over cast members' lives and pushing "sleep deprivation, isolation, lack of food and excessive alcohol" on contestants for "entertainment value." The cast and crew were required to work 20 hours a day, seven days a week, for just $1,000 per week, the suit also alleged, equating to just $7.14 per hour. The lawsuit ultimately included around 144 former cast and crew members. Snyder shared what her cut looked likeon TikTok in July, posting a video of herself opening the settlement check with the caption, "when the trauma turns into a direct deposit." "This is what I am owed for filming not even two full months," she said, showing an $8,287 check to the camera. "This is more than I got paid for filming an entire season of 12 to 20-hour workdays." In the TikTok, Snyder says she doesn't "know if (she's) mad or happy," adding that "it's more of the justice piece and not the money." "It's just sick that people who have power take advantage of people they know don't know any better in these situations," she said.
