Ozzy Osbourne Announces New Book "Last Rites"

The legendary musician, 76, chronicled his long career, glittery public life and medical trouble that began seven years ago in his upcoming memoir, titledLast Rites.Published by Grand Central Publishing of Hachette Book Group, Osborne's firsthand account is "shocking, bitterly hilarious and surprisingly life-affirming." Osborne, the famed lead singer of Black Sabbath and the "Prince of Darkness," was on his farewell tour in 2018 when he contracted aninfectionon his thumb. The small ailment was quickly overshadowed by "near total paralysis from the neck down," the book's synopsis reads, which led Osborne to abandon his tour. The singer was later diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2019. From there, Osborne's story follows his "descent into hell." But, the singer wrote, he has no regrets at all. "If I'd been clean and sober, I wouldn't be Ozzy. If I'd done normal, sensible things, I wouldn't be Ozzy." He continued, "Look, if it ends tomorrow, I can't complain. I've been all around the world. Seen a lot of things. I've done good... and I've done bad. But right now, I'm not ready to go anywhere."
